Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Zendegi.Studio ("we", "our", "us"). Zendegi.Studio makes animated wedding websites: an invitation your guests open from a link, a website with your schedule, venues and details, and an RSVP that collects their replies. By creating an account or using our website and services, you ("you", "your") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Who these Terms apply to

  • Couples and their planners ("hosts") who create a wedding website and send invitations with Zendegi.Studio.
  • Guests who open an invitation, browse a wedding website or reply to an RSVP.

Guests do not need an account. When you reply to an invitation, you share your answers with the hosts who invited you, and we process them on their behalf.

2. Our services

Zendegi.Studio lets hosts:

  • Pick an animated invitation and a seasonal theme, and add their names, date, venues and details.
  • Publish a wedding website and send one personal link per household by email or text.
  • Collect replies per event, meal choices and dietary needs, follow a live headcount, send reminders and export the guest list.
  • Show their invitation and website to each guest in the guest's own language.

The demos and animation lab on this site are previews. Features may change, and some may only be available on paid plans.

3. Your account

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
  • Be at least the age of majority in your province or territory.

You are responsible for everything done through your account.

4. Guest information and consent

Hosts decide which guests to invite and what information to collect about them. As a host, you must:

  • Only add people you know and have a reason to contact about your wedding.
  • Tell your guests that you use Zendegi.Studio to send invitations and collect replies.
  • Only ask for information you need (for example, dietary needs or allergies) and use it only to plan your wedding.
  • Send invitations and reminders in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

We use guest information only to deliver your invitations, website and RSVP, never to market to your guests, and we do not sell it.

5. Privacy

We handle personal information under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, for residents of Québec, the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

  • What we collect: host account details; the content of your wedding website; guest names, contact details, replies, meal choices and dietary needs; and basic technical data needed to run the service.
  • Why: to provide the service, keep it secure, and contact hosts about their account.
  • Sensitive information: dietary and health details are visible only to the hosts of the wedding and are used only to plan it.
  • Retention: hosts can export and delete their wedding and guest list at any time; we delete it from our systems within a reasonable time after that.
  • Your rights: you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw your consent, by writing to us at the address below. Guests can also contact the hosts who invited them.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Zendegi.Studio to:

  • Break any law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
  • Send messages to people who did not expect to hear from you, or send spam.
  • Upload harmful code or anything that could disrupt or compromise the service.
  • Copy, resell or reverse-engineer the animations, themes or software.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the text, names and photos you add to your wedding website. You give us a limited licence to host, display and adapt that content (for example, to fit it into an animation or translate it) only to provide the service to you and your guests. You confirm you have the right to use what you upload.

8. Our content

The animations, illustrations, themes, typefaces as we configure them, and software of Zendegi.Studio belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only through the service, for your own wedding.

9. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes, before you pay. If a feature is paid, you will see its price before you commit to it. Refunds follow the conditions shown at the time of purchase and the consumer protection laws of your province or territory.

10. Ending the service

You can stop using Zendegi.Studio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can. Before we close a wedding website for any reason other than a breach, we will give you notice and a chance to export your guest list.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We work hard to keep your invitations and website online, especially around your wedding date, but we provide the service "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived, including Québec's Consumer Protection Act.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If a change is significant, we will tell hosts by email or in the app before it takes effect.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in Canada, you also keep the protections of your own province or territory.
